History Gerald Bailey founded Chicago Induction on March 1, 1976. He saw a need for a company that could handle the growing demand for specialized services and a willingness to innovate to find processes that do the job better, faster, and more economically. ![]() From the company's modest beginning with one machine in rented space, we have enjoyed steady growth ever since. By 1984, we purchased our first building with 10,000 square feet of space. By 1994, we had outgrown that space and moved to the present location, which is three times larger. In 2000, a second generation took over day-to-day leadership and operation of the company. Bringing a new spirit of innovation, Steven Bailey took over as President from his father. His wife, Rebecca Bailey, joined the company to lead corporate management and administration. Gerald continued to lend his expertise to the firm until he passed away in March of 2005. His wife Janet Bailey continues as Chief Operating Officer. The company achieved a second major milestone in 2000. We qualified for ISO 9001-2000 in recognition of our commitment to quality management, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. What is remarkable about our growth is that it has come largely through word-of-mouth. We have earned a reputation for taking on the tough jobs. Whether advising on and testing prototypes, running small jobs, or processing large jobs, we approach each job with a spirit of innovation. We take pride in responding to the tougher challenges with "we can do that"! |
